Utah Diamond Core & RC Drilling Contractor
Utah Mineral Exploration Drilling Services
KP Exploration provides professional mineral exploration drilling services throughout Utah, supporting exploration and mining companies operating in some of the region’s most geologically diverse environments. Our drilling operations are designed to support safe, efficient, and productive exploration programs across remote and technically demanding project sites.
Utah’s mining industry includes a wide range of exploration targets including copper, gold, uranium, lithium, potash, and other critical minerals. Drilling operations throughout the state often involve difficult terrain, changing elevations, and complex geological formations that require experienced crews and dependable equipment.
KP Exploration supports Utah exploration projects with:
Diamond core drilling
Reverse circulation drilling
Exploration support services
Geological investigation drilling
Resource definition programs
Remote access drilling operations
Experienced MSHA-trained crews
Our team understands the importance of maintaining reliable drilling progress while preserving sample quality and geological accuracy. We work closely with project geologists, engineers, and field managers to maintain communication and operational efficiency throughout the drilling program.
Diamond core drilling is often essential for Utah exploration projects involving structural interpretation and detailed geological analysis. KP Exploration utilizes modern core drilling systems designed to maintain strong recovery and dependable drilling performance in challenging formations.
Reverse circulation drilling offers efficient and cost-effective sampling for large-scale exploration programs and preliminary resource evaluation. Our RC crews focus on maintaining sample consistency, efficient penetration rates, and dependable operational performance.
Utah’s climate and terrain often create logistical challenges that require careful planning and reliable field execution. KP Exploration emphasizes preparation, communication, and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and support efficient operations in remote project areas.
Safety remains a primary priority on every project. Our crews follow strict operational procedures and maintain a culture focused on field awareness, accountability, and safe drilling practices.
Utah Drilling Experience
KP Exploration has supported several large-scale, active mine sites throughout Utah with both exploration and geotechnical drilling programs designed to support ongoing operations and resource development.
One project involved multiple reverse circulation (RC) drill holes completed in support of an evaluation for in-situ mining applications. This program required efficient, high-quality sampling across multiple locations to assist in assessing subsurface conditions and resource continuity for potential in-situ recovery methods. The work emphasized consistency in sample collection, accurate depth control, and reliable production in a fast-moving operational environment. Add to this our growing body of work drilling water wells for active minesites in Utah.
In a separate project, KP Exploration completed diamond core drilling for geotechnical purposes at an active mining operation. This program was designed to support engineering and stability analysis, requiring high-quality core recovery and precise drilling in structurally variable ground conditions. The data collected provided critical input for mine planning, ground control evaluation, and ongoing operational decision-making.
These projects reflect KP Exploration’s ability to support both exploration and operational drilling needs at active mine sites throughout Utah, including programs that require coordination with existing mine infrastructure, engineering teams, and ongoing production schedules.
Supporting Drilling Projects in Utah…
(and across the Western US). KP Exploration is headquartered in Arizona, licensed and operating in Utah, and working all across the US. This allows us to support all of your minesites no matter if the drilling is based in Utah, or Arizona or one of the other 12 states we serve.
